Share what you have learned?

I'd like to hear at least one thing you are doing now with technology in your classroom that you never did before. For example, I use my laptop, data projector and CPS and Examview to assess my students.

You Guys Are Amazing!

Each month, I read the posts and think how far we have all come with incorporating technology in our classrooms. There isn't a day that I don't "NEED" my technology for teaching anymore. I cannot imagine not having it! It's almost as bad as my cell phone! What do you think?

The New Equiptment and Examview/CPS?

How are we all doing with the Examview/CPS and making it work with our new equipment? I know you all might find this hard to believe, but you have far surpassed expectations when it comes to Examview. I think a big part of our success with the software, and the interest, as well as the persistence we have shown toward it, is the wonderful equipment we have that allows us to work so effectively with it. We are all getting CPS Systems for our classrooms as a result of our dedication and hard work. You guys are doing fantastic!

How are we all doing?

Hi Team,
I am wondering how everyone is doing with their new equiptment and how I can help with any difficulties you are experiencing. I know this site's address was not working for awhile and some of you may have not been able to post. I have it fixed--I think. The new laptops are pretty awesome. I am still experimenting with features that are different than last years laptops. The wireless will be coming to us all soon. Smile and keep up the good work.

Only the Good Stuff

I want to utilize this Blog as a place to share the positive thoughts and feedback that I get from the new "expanded" Hp Grant Team. As I circulate through the building, or just chat with team members, I may ask if it's k to post some of the positive comments on the blog. Everyone will have access to the blog and I encourage feedback and additional comments from everyone. Rights to this blog will also be given to our ISTE Mentor, Chris and the other ISTE and HP folks that are very interested in our progress. So, lets keep this spot positive.

Feeling Proud

I thought I would spend a minute and let you all know how proud I am of the team. Last year we learned and practiced a new way of teaching. Our action-research was rocky at times, but our data results were fantastic! We accomplished what we weren't sure we could by believing in each other and our students. Because of our success, we wrote the 2nd grant and were selected. I don't think I fully understood the magnitude of that until I went to the NECC -ISTE Conference in San Antonio and saw the displays of the dozens of "Honorable Mention" teams that did not receive that 2nd grant. They were only a small portion of those who applied. There were so many congratulations, and I was so proud of our little rural school.

Hello Team

Here I am at the start of the year wondering how the grant will "look" and work after all the planning and training the first team did. We did a wonderful job last year--this was verified intensley in San Antonio. We have to stick together, do our best to remain positive and do what we do best...teach our students. You will all be amazed at what you can accomplish by teaching "through technology." Remember, I am here to help, along with the entire HP Mentor Team.
