Each month, I read the posts and think how far we have all come with incorporating technology in our classrooms. There isn't a day that I don't "NEED" my technology for teaching anymore. I cannot imagine not having it! It's almost as bad as my cell phone! What do you think?

My cell phone rings too much! I can't play on my laptop because of it. I am using my laptop on a daily basis and love it. As far as the projector and other equipment, I'm learning. I do love the camera and printer. It's great to take pictures of the students, and print them out right away. I have a long ways to go with the technology, but with help from Sandy, Jane, and Laurie, I will learn!
I am really amazed at how far our school as a whole has come this year. I am so far above where I was at the beginning of this year.
I am video streming in social studies and I am writing tests and using the clickers on CPS and examview. Thanks to Sandy and Jane for all the help and time you give up to help the rest of us.
My laptop is like a security blanket. It goes with me wherever I go. It is wonderful to have the technology at our fingertips. The kids love using them (on the COW) as well. I keep learning new things and want to learn more.
I've been playing with my laptop trying to learn the nuances of the notepad. It is fun to work with! I want to be able to work directly on worksheets that are saved in my computer, teach lessons, ... with this. Doing averages for the report cards was quite easy in the Excel program. Today I printed out photos for our school bulletin board that accompanied pieces of writing from my class. In science class this morning we took our resting pulses, exercising pulses and made a chart in Excel, then printed it out.
I just learned how to use the CPS last week. It is amazing to have the data within seconds! This is an excellent teaching tool. I just printed off my first picture yesterday. I have used the data projector and my laptop for video streaming in social studies. I have shown short and sweet video that directly relates to the curriculum. Not only all this, but report cards were a breeze since I had all my grades in Excel and the program did averages for me. I am learning so much!
I agree! The grading program I have used saved me a tremendous amount of time during report cards. It is hard to imagine punching in all of the grades on a calculator again. I love it!!! It is also so handy to have our laptops that go with us everywhere--info. at our fingertips!
I've been able to find clips and games to go along with curricular goals. Exam View/ CPS has much to offer. My laptop gets a daily workout, and the data projector is awesome. Ginger gave me some quick helpful tips with Excel. Thanks!
The more you work with your equipment, the more you realize the possiblities are endless. A big hug to HP and ISTE for their suppport and help!
I'm excited to be back in the classroom. I use my laptop everyday and I'm excited that I figured out how to work my camera.
I have to agree with Jane, this computer is like a security blanket. I take it everywhere with me, just in case I have time to get something done. What an amazing tool!
I agree! I would be lost with out it. I have some christmas gifts that I need to use this computer to input pictures on. I hope it an easy process. This is a new process for me like downloading ringtones.
I learned how to print pictures using only the memory chip & the printer. Thanks Toni!
I wish I had more time to explore my laptop. I learn new things everyday but I know there is so much more if I only had the time.
